Boat Projects (It's the little things that make a boat home.)

July 2, 2020

With only four years left to get the boat ready for our Great Loop, I'm going to be more vigilant about keeping up with the blog. I would also like to document our training and the crew drills we will be putting ourselves through to gain experience and improve our boat handling and management skills.

As  the summer season is beginning we are preparing for our first boat trip of the 2020 season. We have repaired the generator. The set screw on the pulley backed out so the pulley was just spinning on shaft. That's why the generator kept shutting down, it was the temperature sensor shutting it down.

I previously installed a spice rack with a paper towel holder on one end and a dish-cloth holder on the other side. Melissa loves them and they do look good if I do say so myself.

In an attempt to help Melissa organize storage spaces on the boat, I designed and built three shelves. One is in the locker under the head sink, the second one is in the locker under the galley sink, and the third is in Melissa's hanging locker, for shoes no doubt. Just kidding honey! 😉

While We Are On Our Great Loop Adventure We Would Like To Rent Our 1000 Islands Home

We are looking for a friend or friend of a friend to rent our home while we are on America’s Great Loop. Here is the description of our home...
